As a family therapist at the family support unit in Tierp, you can get both that and varied work with opportunities for development! The family support unit in Tierp has a range of exciting tasks and has developed significantly in recent years to meet our citizens' needs for support and help. We work primarily on assignment from the Children and Youth Department with services in the form of family therapy, assessment during investigations, and supervised contact. We also work with services without support decisions such as advice & support, family counseling, support groups for children, parental education, and family café, and we run a crisis center for men and work with open care for domestic violence. The family support unit further includes the municipality's open preschool and is part of the Family Central as well as participating in several other collaborative forms such as SSPF, School Social Team, Child Safe, Vänta Child Collaboration, Extended Home Visit Program, and more. In this position, the focus will partly be on working with services from the Children and Youth Department, primarily family therapy where you work with change work with both children and parents. You are responsible for planning and matching the right therapeutic intervention for the family as well as documenting according to regulations. We see among other things a need for knowledge and/or interest in working with parents and children with cognitive difficulties. Other services via the Children and Youth Department include crisis support during child interviews, assessment as a complement to BBIC investigation, and supervised contact. We work with systemic thinking and use the Signs of Safety model in close collaboration with the Children and Youth Department. We also have close collaboration with other open services such as youth support, youth therapists, and family supporters. Beyond that, the position will include preventive work. Currently we see a need for family therapists in collaboration with BVC/MVC in Child Safe as well as additional reinforcement in collaboration with schools. We are looking for you who want to be part of the work with our families, who are positive toward collaboration, and who want to be part of the development of IFO in general and the family support unit in particular. The work is conducted primarily during office hours but late afternoons and evening work occur frequently. QUALIFICATIONS Social worker or equivalent behavioral science education with family therapy education equivalent to level 1. or • Several years of experience in family therapy with relevant education in family therapy. • Good knowledge of the social services mandate. We want you to have experience in psychosocial treatment work with children, adolescents, and their families. It is an advantage if you have worked with parents or children with cognitive difficulties. Other education/experience in treatment and change work individually or in groups with children, young people, and adults is a merit.
