DUTIES We are looking for a family therapist with expertise and experience working with children, youth, and families as well as intimate partner violence for the Unit for Children and Family, the Family Team, which is the social services' open care division. The Family Team works primarily with family therapy for the municipality's children, youth, and families. The work involves, for example, parental support/family work in various forms, individual conversations, assessments, observations, and visits. The unit also conducts collaborative conversations, support for intimate partner violence, coordination, and implementation of youth services and youth care. Family therapists primarily work with families with children and youth aged 0-18 years. The work is based on the parents' ability to meet the child's needs. The interventions aim to strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors around the child or youth. In this work, it is important to draw on the family's own resources and to work together with children, youth, parents, and other networks to meet the children's and youth's need for support. The nature of the assignment guides how you plan and structure your work, which requires a high degree of flexibility. The work also involves close collaboration with social workers and other important contacts around the child and family. You complete implementation plans and document your work through the Lifecare documentation system. The work is regulated by numerous laws such as the Social Services Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Parental Code, and others. The Family Team is part of the Unit for Children and Family and currently consists of 9 employees led by a unit manager. The Family Team is located in its own premises on Rönnbärsgatan in Vimmerby. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker, social pedagogue with 180 credits, or other university education that the employer considers equivalent. A category B driver's license with manual transmission is a requirement. At the same time, it is also important that you are flexible, loyal, and relationship-building, and that you have good teamwork skills but are also comfortable working independently. You are well-organized and have a good ability to plan and carry out your work in an efficient and legally sound manner. You are committed and interested in the field of work, and have the will and ability to take responsibility for the overall operation and interest in method and operational development. You also communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. It is an advantage if you have experience with similar work.
