WORK TASKS As a Field Assistant, you work to create good relationships with children and young people, their parents, and other networks. The Field Team's mission to mobilize resources is primarily aimed at prevention based on known risk factors, but also at being able to respond in situations where challenging conditions already exist. This may include initiating and/or leading specific group activities or individual contacts with the aim of counteracting the development of destructive and/or norm-breaking behavior. As a Field Assistant, you work in an outreach capacity during daytime, evenings, and in special cases also on weekends in various neighborhoods in Gävle, schools, youth centers, and associations that meet children and young people in their profession. The work is based on a systemic approach, where network thinking and network work are of central importance. To create lasting and positive changes for young people, we believe that participation and influence are key concepts in the work. Authority functions are not part of the work duties. The work is scheduled during daytime, evenings, and in special cases also on weekends. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a social work degree, or alternatively another degree at college or university level with a focus on social work, behavioral science, or pedagogy. You have good knowledge of and preferably also experience working within the social services. Driver's license category B and driving experience are required for this position. It is meritorious if you have good knowledge of systemically oriented working methods, network work, and have experience leading children and young people. For this position, a criminal record check from the police is required. This will only be requested from the final candidate in the last stage of the recruitment process.
