We are now seeking a controller who will be responsible for coordinating the faculty's finances, from planning and budgeting, through appropriations and assignment distribution to forecasts and reporting. You will work for the Faculty of Science and Engineering, which has a turnover of just over one billion kronor and has close to 1,000 employees. Here there are good opportunities to develop and influence planning, follow-ups, analyses and processes. Main responsibilities Drive, coordinate, implement and develop the faculty's financial work regarding budgets, appropriations and cost distributions, forecasts, follow-ups and reporting strategic support for faculty management on financial matters consequence analyses and professional statements for discussions and decisions in faculty board and management initiate and coordinate development within the financial area at the faculty larger procurements and acquisitions other handling and administration As a faculty controller, you work with both recurring tasks and various elements of development work. You are expected to be familiar with both the faculty's accounting and the conditions that regulate our operations and finances, for example annual appropriation letters, the university's internal rules and decisions, and university-wide procedures. The work involves many contacts and collaborations with, for example, people at the university's central financial unit, institutional economists and controllers at other faculty offices. Your closest colleague is a faculty controller who works with operational development and facility issues. Qualifications Relevant university degree in economics, with a focus on accounting and/or financial management or equivalent At least five years of experience with qualified strategic and operational work within economic business planning and follow-up Experience in preparation and handling of matters Good knowledge of Swedish and English both orally and in writing It is a merit to be able to handle digital tools and working methods that streamline analytical work It is also a merit to have experience from a university or college We believe you have an interest and knowledge in financial management, control and analysis. To succeed in the role as faculty controller, you are concerned with quality assuring the financial processes. We believe you are a whiz with Excel and can use relevant advanced functions as needed. It is important that you can focus on the details, and at the same time see the entire organization's needs. You are structured, thorough, responsible and have the ability to understand complex issues and quickly analyze and report.
