Your Responsibilities The Prosecutor's Office is looking for someone who wants a central role in crime prevention. As a prosecutor, you will apply legal precedent in theory and practice with significant independent responsibility and in collaboration with others. As a supplementary prosecutor, you will work with all aspects of criminal cases at a general prosecutor's chamber. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on prosecution, and conduct proceedings in court. Your Qualities and Qualifications We are looking for someone who has Swedish citizenship a Nordic law degree notarial certification from a district or administrative court experience in other qualified legal work for at least two years following your notarial service, primarily in criminal cases. This primarily refers to work as an appeals court assessor, attorney, or other legal experience working with criminal cases. As a person, we want you to have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law be juridically skilled have the ability to collaborate and lead others be driven, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions be stable and have good judgment have good analytical ability and the ability to think critically have strong communication skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Admissions Process Employment as a supplementary prosecutor is a fixed-term position or a qualification-building employment of at least twelve months, before you can be granted an exemption to become a permanent employee as a chamber prosecutor. Prior to an employment offer, the Prosecutor's Office may conduct background checks in the suspicion register and criminal record register. The background check is conducted on the final candidate. Tests may be included in the recruitment process. If the applicant who receives the assignment holds a position at the Economic Crimes Authority or within Swedish courts, collective agreement fixed-term employment (so-called qualification-building employment) shall apply. The Prosecutor's Office is a civil protection authority. Upon employment, you may be placed on civil protection duty at the Prosecutor's Office.
