Your Tasks The Prosecution Authority is looking for someone who wants to play a central role in crime prevention. As a prosecutor, you will apply legal precedent in theory and practice with significant independent responsibility and in collaboration with others. As a deputy prosecutor, you will work with all aspects of criminal cases at a general prosecution chamber. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on prosecution matters, and conduct proceedings in court. Your Qualities and Qualifications We are looking for someone who has Swedish citizenship a Nordic law degree notarial certification from a district or administrative court experience from other qualified legal work for at least two years after your notarial service, primarily in criminal cases. This primarily means work as a court of appeals assessor, attorney, or other legal experience working with criminal cases. As a person, we would like you to have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law be legally skilled have the ability to collaborate and lead others be driven, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions be stable and have good judgment have good analytical skills and the ability to think critically have good communication skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The Recruitment Process The position of deputy prosecutor is a special fixed-term employment or a qualification employment of at least twelve months, before you can obtain approval to become a permanent chamber prosecutor. Before an employment offer is made, the Prosecution Authority may conduct a registry check in the suspicion register and the criminal record register. The registry check is conducted on the final candidate. Tests may be included in the recruitment process. If the selected applicant holds a position at the Economic Crime Authority or within the Swedish courts, collective agreement-regulated limited-term employment (so-called qualification employment) will apply. The Prosecution Authority is a civil defense agency. Upon employment, you may be assigned to civil defense duty at the Prosecution Authority.
