At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of our time's major societal issues – migration. We have approximately 6,000 employees here, and we have an exceptionally important mission! We are seeking an expert for the National Operations Department Office in Sundbyberg, Norrköping, or Malmö. With us, you will work with current societal issues that are influenced by what happens in our external environment. The office works with operational planning, case processing procedures, external environment monitoring, prepares decision-making materials, conducts investigations, coordinates reporting, and responds to inquiries. It also provides support to the department's units on administrative law matters and operational issues. The office is the entry point for external and internal inquiries and currently has 7 employees. What does an expert do? As an expert in the National Operations Department Office, you will work on planning, coordination, analysis, and related tasks. This includes coordinating inquiries and providing comprehensive support, service, and guidance to contact persons within the department's sections. You will function as management support to the department head and section heads by supporting operations in methodological and substantive matters. Collaborating, answering questions, and providing service and materials to external and internal contacts from a holistic perspective for the agency is an important part of the work. You will also work with qualitative and quantitative follow-up and, based on statistics, investigations, reports, and other monitoring, analyze results and development in operations. As part of the department office, you are expected to assist with all tasks included in the department's mandate. One area that needs to be strengthened today is preparedness matters. Your work has significant impact and importance for our mission and for the department's development. Who are you? You are a good representative of the Swedish Migration Agency and the department. In our work as civil servants, we also have high demands for sound judgment and strong security and confidentiality awareness. We are seeking you who have: Academic education with legal, social science, or behavioral science focus, or other education combined with relevant experience for the role. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in Swedish and English. Current experience working in public administration. Current experience from staff or office operations. Swedish citizenship. It is advantageous if you have: Experience working in state operations. Experience supporting managers and leadership groups. Experience with qualified investigative work. Broad experience and good knowledge of the Swedish Migration Agency's mission and operations. Experience with analysis, methodology development, change management, and follow-up work. Experience working with preparedness matters in state operations. Information Type of employment: Temporary contract until June 30, 2027 Scope of employment: Full-time. Working hours: Office hours.
