We also organize, together with Svenska Ridsportförbundet, Gothenburg Horse Show, which is one of the world's leading indoor equestrian competitions. Each year, approximately 2 million people visit approximately 400 sports and entertainment events at one of our arenas. Additionally, we welcome almost half a million swimmers annually to Valhallabadet. We have approximately 160 employees and approximately 600 hourly staff members who do everything to create good conditions for hosting world-class events. The company has annual revenue of approximately 300 million kronor. We conduct active environmental work and are environmental certified. Your Assignment Got Event is seeking an engaged and development-oriented Events Manager who wants to be part of developing future events and experiences. You will have overall responsibility for Got Event's events operations and for developing an attractive, sustainable, and profitable events portfolio. The role combines long-term development and new business opportunities with hands-on presence in operations and events. You are responsible for the whole picture – from idea and planning to implementation, follow-up, and financial results – while also helping to strengthen Gothenburg as an events city. You will lead an experienced team of events managers and events coordinators and are also responsible for the Marketing unit, which is led by a unit manager. As a member of Got Event's management team, you contribute to the company's overall development and, together with the CEO and management colleagues, create alignment and efficient work practices. Your Main Areas of Responsibility As Events Manager, you will lead and develop the events operations with a focus on quality, business, visitor experience, and long-term development. Home teams and recurring events form a stable foundation, while you actively work to develop the portfolio and create new opportunities. Your role includes: lead and develop employees and teams take responsibility for planning, implementation, follow-up, budgets, and results develop the events portfolio, working methods, and offerings ensure high quality, service, and an attractive visitor experience develop relationships with home teams, organizers, partners, and other stakeholders identify new events and business opportunities contribute to ticket sales and the arenas' market position strengthen collaboration between the company's different operational areas contribute to Got Event's development in areas such as sustainability, digitalization, and arena development Who Are You? You are an experienced leader with a background in events, experiences, or other operations where service, commercial relationships, and complex deliveries are central. You understand what it takes to create attractive experiences and strong relationships while achieving the operation's financial goals. We are looking for someone with: several years of management experience with personnel, operational, and financial responsibility experience planning, developing, and implementing major events, preferably at national or international level, or substantial experience from commercial or experience-oriented operations ability to switch between strategic development work and hands-on presence experience building relationships with customers, organizers, partners, and other stakeholders understanding of governance and decision-making processes in larger organizations; experience from politically governed operations is a merit very good communication skills in Swedish and English Your Leadership You are a confident, clear, and attentive leader who sees the bigger picture and creates engagement and responsibility.
