We are now seeking a meticulous EU economist who wants to contribute with financial monitoring, project administration, and reporting of EU-financed projects. You will have a varied role with close collaboration with project managers and executives at a well-reputed authority in central Stockholm. About the Position At Perido, we are now seeking a meticulous and responsible EU economist for an exciting and developmental position at an authority, a Swedish institution of higher education located in central Stockholm. You will support the institution's departments in managing grant-financed projects. The position also involves work with financial management within one or more of the institution's departments. The role primarily involves managing and working with EU-financed projects. Your responsibilities include: ongoing bookkeeping year-end accounting requisitions reporting to the funder project administration work with project budgeting monitoring and forecasts related to these work with budget and forecast for one or more departments at the school close collaboration with project managers and department heads within a department Your Qualities To succeed in this role, you need to be service-oriented, self-directed, and well-organized, with a clear focus on quality and accuracy. You are quality-conscious and take responsibility for your work being carried out correctly and according to given requirements and guidelines. The role involves many contact points, which requires good communication skills and the ability to explain financial matters and concepts clearly and comprehensibly to people from different backgrounds. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in economics or work experience that the authority deems equivalent Experience working with accounting and financial monitoring Strong proficiency in the Office suite Experience with business systems (e.g., Agresso, SAP, or similar) Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written. Both languages are required in daily work. Meritorious: Experience independently working with EU-financed projects Good knowledge of EU regulations and financing systems for research projects Experience with similar tasks from a university/higher education institution or other research-intensive state authority or organization Experience working with budget and forecast Experience supporting a management function in financial matters Experience working in Agresso Scope and Start Date Full-time, consulting assignment for 12 months.
