IGS Assistans is now hiring personal assistants for a man in his 60s living in northern Gotland. We are looking for you to work as a personal assistant during day and evening hours with the opportunity to establish a fixed schedule. We also appreciate flexibility and your willingness to take night shifts when needed. Shift times are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM & 4:00 PM–10:30 PM (10:00 PM–8:30 AM). About the Position As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and provide important support in their daily life. The work is performed in the client's home and in the environments where the client spends time. Duties include: • Personal care • Transfers and work with assistive devices • Support with daily routines • Practical household tasks • Accompanying the client to activities and errands • Observation and adaptation based on the client's condition and needs The client uses respiratory support and a cough machine daily as part of their treatment. As an assistant, you will participate in handling these devices according to established procedures. Prior experience with respiratory devices is an advantage but not a requirement. You will receive the training and guidance needed through the neurology clinic in Visby as well as through an introduction before you independently take on these tasks. The work requires precision, responsibility, and the ability to follow instructions and procedures. If you wish to work more hours, there is an opportunity to combine assignments with several of our other clients on Gotland. Who We Are Looking For You are someone who takes responsibility, shows respect, and enjoys working close to people. You are attentive, confident in yourself, and understand the importance of always placing the client's self-determination at the center. We prefer that you: • Have experience with personal assistance or similar care work • Speak and write Swedish fluently • Can work flexibly • Are interested in night work, although day and evening shifts are also available • Have a driver's license (category B) and access to a car We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The personal chemistry between you and the client is just as important as previous experience. To thrive in this role, you need to be: • Calm and stable • Responsible and thorough • Socially present and engaged • Adaptable to the client's needs • Comfortable working closely with a person with extensive care needs Pets live in the home, so you should not have pet allergies.
