Welcome to us The procurement department plays a central role in Stockholm City's work to use public procurement as a steering mechanism for long-term and sustainable societal development. We have broad expertise across the entire procurement process and are currently approximately 70 employees working in a recently implemented category-based procurement organization. Now we're looking for experienced procurement specialists who want to work with procurement of property-related purchases and/or goods purchases and service purchases where business acumen, quality, and complexity go hand in hand. Read more about our Benefits Your role As a procurement specialist, you're responsible for implementing the entire procurement process, from planning and needs analysis to completed contracts. You work closely with the business operations and supplier market to ensure cost-effective, sustainable, and commercially sound solutions. You collaborate closely with other procurement specialists, contract managers, system administrators, and specialists, and contribute advice and support on procurement and purchasing matters. Your skills and experience We're looking for you who have several years of current experience independently implementing procurements within property-related purchases and/or goods purchases/service purchases good understanding of public procurement and practical application of relevant legislation, especially the Public Procurement Act (LOU) worked with procurement in larger organizations and/or public operations and independently implemented procurements in various areas, throughout the process from needs and risk analysis to contracts relevant education in procurement/purchasing, economics, law, or equivalent experience that the employer deems comparable very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish It's an advantage if you have experience and good understanding of the procurement specialist's role in supporting operations to define and formulate relevant and commercially sound requirements very good administrative skills and experience using MS Office and procurement and contract systems available on the market worked with category-based purchasing To succeed in this role, you need to be collaborative and with high service awareness ensure business acumen and good relationships with both internal and external contacts. The Service Administration is one of the city's specialist departments and is tasked with handling administrative functions that are coordinated across the city. This mainly concerns payroll administration, financial administration, city-wide procurement issues, contact center operations, and internal consultants who provide support in digitalization, IT & telephony, recruitment, and real estate and premises matters.
