Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people who need a safe home? We are now seeking an experienced family home consultant who wants to take full responsibility for our family foster homes in Scania. About the Role As a family home consultant, you are the primary support for family foster homes throughout the placement. You mentor, support, and follow up with family foster homes in their daily work and function as the hub between foster families, placed children, social services, and other stakeholders. You are responsible for a number of placements and ensure that each child receives safe, stable, and well-documented care. Your work tasks include: • Mentor and support family foster homes through regular home visits • Follow up on placements based on the child's needs and set goals • Develop and update implementation plans and write ongoing documentation and monthly reports • Collaborate with social services, schools, child and adolescent mental health services, healthcare, and other authorities • Recruit, assess, and train new family foster homes and write family home assessments • Ensure that the work complies with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational quality requirements • Contribute to organizational development together with your colleagues Travel within Scania will occur in connection with visits to family foster homes. We are Looking for Someone With • A degree in social work or other equivalent higher education acceptable to the employer • Several years of experience working with children and young people, preferably within family foster care or child social services • Good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Social Services Act and the Care of Children and Young Persons Act • Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish • A driver's license with category B Meritorious Qualifications • Experience with consultant-supported family foster care • Experience with assessment work and documentation according to BBIC • Training in evidence-based methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), ART, ACRA, and TMO • Experience with supervision and mentoring Who You Are We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
