At Brandbergsskolan, we also have special instruction groups and adapted primary school (grades 1-9). We strive to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and ensure that each student is given opportunities to develop academically and socially according to their individual circumstances. We are now seeking an experienced student assistant for one of our adapted primary school classes at the upper secondary level. Your assignment In your role as a student assistant, you create a secure foundation for our student who needs extra support. Together with the teacher, you plan and structure the school day based on individualized pedagogy that provides predictability and security. You provide support at the student's side throughout the entire school day—during lessons, breaks, and transitions. You collaborate with the student, parents, and teachers. Ongoing documentation is part of your responsibilities. You will support a student at the upper secondary level who lives with epilepsy, which means you will be responsible for supervision, identifying triggers, preventing seizures, and maintaining daily communication with guardians. What we're looking for in you You must be a trained childcare worker or student assistant with education that the employer deems equivalent. Previous work with children and youth is essential, as is experience working with children and young people with intellectual disabilities. You must have experience supporting children and young people with epilepsy. As a person, we expect you to be: Reliable and predictable - the student's needs first and foremost. Low-affect - calm in both body and mind Wise - able to read situations and act in ways that de-escalate situations Communicative - speak and write Swedish fluently Collaborative - work with the teaching staff and other student support functions. Maintain close contact with guardians. What we can offer you The student assistant position is a special fixed-term employment at 80%, with some possibility for extension.
