About the Workplace
We are now seeking support assistants for two of our LSS activities: BoDa Västkustvägen and Björktrastgatan 8 and 10.
BoDa Västkustvägen is beautifully situated in Hasslarp, between Helsingborg and Ängelholm, with good bus connections and a bus stop right outside the facility. The activities are conducted according to the BoDa concept, where residential care and daily activities are co-planned. This means you follow the individual throughout the day and work both in daily activities and in group housing. The target group consists of people with intellectual disabilities who need support and services.
Björktrastgatan 8 and 10 are two group homes with five apartments in each building, located in Mariastaden in Helsingborg. The facility is near green spaces, services, and good transportation. Residents here include people with autism, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, and intellectual disabilities.
Regardless of the activity, you'll become part of an engaged team that works together to create a safe, meaningful, and individually adapted daily life for the people we support.

Job Duties
As a support assistant, you work to provide quality care and are expected to engage all your senses to contribute to a rich, exciting, active, and independent life for people with disabilities. You'll be our residents' extended arm in daily life, which may include providing support with various activities, hygiene, assisting with meals, and ensuring medication is taken as needed.
We work with great respect for the user's integrity and tailor support to the individual. You follow implementation plans for each resident to ensure they have the best possible life. Work is planned, documented, and carefully monitored, so it's important that you feel confident with documentation.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma from a care and nursing program or has completed a youth and leisure program with a focus on social and educational work. The position requires that you have knowledge and experience working with people who sometimes display very challenging and disruptive behavior, and it's important that you are confident in your knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal approaches.
To move forward in the process, you also need basic computer skills, documentation experience, and a manual B driver's license.
It is a merit if you have experience working with TAKK, AAC, or TEACCH. Having training in CPR, nutrition, diabetes, or epilepsy is also a merit.
