Experienced Carpenter Needed for Project-Based House Construction Employment

We are looking for an experienced and self-directed carpenter for a project-based position starting in week 45. The work will include several different tasks in house construction, and we are therefore looking for a carpenter with broad experience who can take responsibility for their work from drawing to finished result. Job Responsibilities The work will include, among other things: Frame construction and other structural work Regulations for exterior and interior walls Floor systems and roof structures Fascia installation Window and door installation Insulation and interior carpentry work Drywall and sheet materials Installation of trim, casings, and other details Other carpentry work occurring during new villa construction Reading drawings and working from construction documents Collaboration and coordination with other trades on the work site Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has several years of documented experience working as a carpenter Has experience with house construction and preferably new villa construction Can work independently and take responsibility for assigned work tasks Can read and understand drawings and construction documents Has good knowledge of common building methods and materials Is thorough and has a good quality mindset Can plan your work and work efficiently Is reliable and arrives on time Has good collaboration skills and can work together with other trades Understands the importance of order, safety, and quality on the work site A professional certificate is not a requirement. For us, documented practical experience, craftsmanship skills, and the ability to work independently are more important. A Class B driver's license is a merit. Who Are We Looking For? We are primarily looking for an experienced tradesperson who knows what is required on a construction site. You should be able to receive a work assignment, understand the drawing, and independently drive the work forward without requiring continuous supervision. Since the work involves the construction of two houses, it is important that you have broad experience and are comfortable with several different tasks in traditional timber construction. We value quality and thoroughness, but also that the work is carried out efficiently and according to the project's timeline. The Position The position is a full-time project-based employment with a fixed monthly salary. The project period is a minimum of 6 months starting in week 45. Work is conducted five days a week, Monday through Friday. The work sites are located in the Alingsås area and surrounding region. The applicant is responsible for arranging their own housing.
