Job Description As a custodian at Eriksdalsskolan, you'll be part of the school's service team together with another custodian, two school secretaries, a school assistant, an IT coordinator, and a kitchen manager. Your direct supervisor is the school's administrative director. As a custodian, you work with the school's facilities, systematic maintenance, upkeep and inspection of facilities, the school's systematic fire safety work, technical equipment, and serve as a contact person both internally and externally. Together with your custodian colleague, you are responsible for alarms, opening and closing of facilities, rearrangements and relocations, facility maintenance, ordering certain materials, goods receipt, and deliveries. Working hours vary from week to week depending on whether you open the school at 07:00 or close it at 18:00. Qualifications We're looking for someone who has upper secondary education or relevant work experience for this position. You have a strong ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, but also to work together with others. Many tasks require you to collaborate with your custodian colleague or others in the service team. You are good at collaboration and can create positive relationships, as the work involves extensive contact with students, staff, internal and external partners. You need to be able to communicate in good Swedish, as we have many external contacts with craftspeople. Part of the work consists of administrative tasks such as reporting defects to our property manager, booking inspections, following up on safety rounds, etc. The school uses a digital case management system, so you need to be able to use a computer and be good at prioritizing your tasks so they are completed in the right order. It is advantageous if you have previously worked as a custodian and/or have training as a carpenter, painter, electrician, or similar. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.
