About the Operation
Skandionkliniken is Sweden's national clinic for proton therapy. We treat patients from across the country in close collaboration with university hospitals. The operation is characterized by high specialist expertise, cooperation and continuous development.
The Physics Unit at the clinic currently consists of seven hospital physicists, rotating physicists from our university hospitals and a unit manager – a group with broad expertise. We are now seeking an additional knowledgeable colleague who can contribute with experience, clinical judgment and long-term development of the operation and its working methods.
About the Role
We are looking for someone who is confident in the role of hospital physicist and who has broad experience in clinical radiation therapy. You enjoy taking responsibility, making well-founded clinical decisions and contributing to complex issues together with colleagues from multiple professions.
The role includes clinical work in proton therapy, quality assurance, method development and operational development.
We are Looking for Someone Who
is a licensed hospital physicist
has several years of experience in clinical radiation therapy
has broad expertise in radiation therapy physics
is confident in independent clinical assessments and decisions
has good collaboration skills and contributes to a positive work environment
Experience in proton therapy is advantageous, as is a dissertation related to radiation therapy. We make an overall assessment where clinical expertise, professional judgment and collaboration skills are highly valued.

Other Information

Skandionkliniken in Uppsala is the only clinic in Sweden that performs radiation therapy with protons. The clinic has been in operation since 2015 and is continuously in a development phase. Skandionkliniken is owned and operated by the Municipality Association Skandionkliniken. Behind the association are the seven regions that have university hospitals.
