As an Accounting Economist you will become an important part of the Finance team and be responsible for accounting, financial statements and financial reporting for several companies within the group. The role involves close collaboration with operations, the payroll function and controllers, as well as external contacts such as external auditors and consultants. You work both structurally and analytically and contribute to ensuring correct financial reporting while participating in the development of processes, systems and working methods. Your Areas of Responsibility As an Accounting Economist you are responsible for ongoing accounting, reconciliations and year-end closing work for several companies within the group. You work with analysis of income statements and balance sheets and monitor outcomes against budgets to ensure accurate and relevant reporting. You participate in group accounting and consolidation work and prepare annual reports, provide materials for audits and regulatory reporting. In addition to this, you support operations with accounting matters, conduct analyses and investigations, and participate in projects and development initiatives within finance. An important part of the role is also to contribute to the development of our reporting and consolidation systems. About You We believe that you are a person who enjoys taking responsibility and is motivated by working with accounting, analysis and continuous improvements. You work structurally and carefully, have an analytical approach and enjoy delving into details while being able to see the bigger picture. You are unpretentious, communicative and have an easy time collaborating with others. You enjoy a role with many contact points and are happy to take responsibility for driving work forward. At the same time, you are flexible, solution-oriented and used to prioritizing when workload varies. You are reliable and take responsibility for delivering with high quality. We are looking for someone who has: A degree in Business Economics or equivalent post-secondary education in economics. Several years of experience in qualified accounting work. Very good knowledge of Excel. Experience with financial systems, where experience with JD Edwards is a merit. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. About the Process This is a permanent full-time position with placement at our office in Luleå. Start date is by agreement.
