Your Work Tasks You lead and direct expansion projects from early planning stages through the planning process to the implementation stage as well as inspection and handover. Täby plans to implement a number of renovation and new construction projects. Parallel to this, long-term maintenance projects and a large number of smaller renovations are being planned. The main work tasks are to: • Plan and implement projects in accordance with Täby's project model, in agreed scope, to the right quality, on time, and within budgeted costs • Prepare decision-making documents for the political decisions required • Be the coordinating project manager and ensure that an appropriate organization is established for design and contracting • Call off and participate in procurement of goods, contracts, and services • Represent the municipality at inspections • Hand over completed projects from the construction project organization to the managing organization • Participate in developing procedures for monitoring and follow-up of the Property Department's activities You drive your projects independently but collaborate with others within the Property Department and other municipal departments, contractors, technical consultants, and you have ongoing contacts with business and community organizations, service providers, and residents. Your Profile As a Project Manager, we are looking for someone with: • An academic degree from a college/university in construction/property or equivalent work experience in a relevant field • Several years of experience in project management within construction, and you master the construction process and key activities in the different phases from start to finish • Experience and knowledge of contract law for construction projects • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing It is advantageous if you also have: • Experience working in a politically governed organization and worked with public procurement law (LOU) • Experience with projects within schools, preschools, LSS housing, care and elderly care facilities, and sports facilities To succeed in this position, you must be organized, self-driven, and efficient in your way of working. You express yourself very well in speech and writing. You are flexible and have good negotiation skills. In the role as project manager, you are a requirement setter, which means you need to be clear, direct, and questioning when necessary.
