About the position
As an experienced project manager, you will hold the role of principal project manager or project manager in our program organization. You will be responsible for investment projects for high-voltage power lines. You represent Svenska kraftnät as the client and are responsible for the projects' schedule, cost, and results. The role can encompass both the planning/design phase and the construction phase.
This role suits you if you have experience independently driving your areas of responsibility in large, complex infrastructure projects. You thrive in a role where you are expected to make decisions and drive work forward together with other project team members and consultants.
This recruitment is shared across multiple project manager units. We are looking for experienced project managers regardless of whether you prefer working in early or late phases of construction projects, and whether you are interested in the role of project manager or principal project manager.
During the planning and design phases, great emphasis is placed on permit issues and communication with the project's various stakeholders. During the construction phase, you are responsible for managing and leading an internal project team and for procuring and following up contracted construction companies. As a project manager, you also have responsibility for occupational health and electrical safety.
In the role of principal project manager, you will be responsible for several projects and have project managers reporting to you. You lead and coach the project managers to ensure that the projects reach their goals and report to the program manager.

Education:
You have a university degree in an area relevant to the position or equivalent experience acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät deems equivalent. For example, specialization in civil engineering, infrastructure, or electrical power.
You also have:
At least seven years of experience managing large, complex infrastructure or construction projects
Knowledge of construction law (for example ABK09, ABT, AB)
Knowledge of AMA and similar industry standards
Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
Category B driving license
Meritorious
Experience from electrical power projects
Experience working with permit processes or managing landowner issues
Project manager training such as PMI/IPMA
Experience working within or for the public sector
Experience working in a client function

The position is based in Sundbyberg and Västerås
