Tvärförbindelse Södertörn is an important piece of the puzzle to create a more accessible Södertörn. We are building a completely new traffic solution for improved safety and smoother transport options through a two-mile grade-separated motorway with separate pedestrian and bicycle path from Kungens Kurva, via Flemingsberg, to Jordbro.
Organizationally, Tvärförbindelse Södertörn is a program within Trafikverket Major Projects and the program is currently divided into ten projects responsible for different sections. We are now seeking an experienced project manager for one of these projects, the Flemingsberg Tunnel project.
The Flemingsberg Tunnel project contains two execution contracts, a rock tunnel contract of 3.1 kilometers and a preparatory contract where the relocation of Road 259 will be carried out to provide access to pre-cuts. The project budget is in the range of 2.5 billion, which means a comprehensive project with many complex issues to be solved and coordinated.
Here you have the opportunity to take full responsibility for, among other things, design, procurement and implementation of the contracts included in the project. In a project of this size, you have an overarching project manager role that places high demands on leadership, communication, coordination and good administrative skills.
As project manager for the Flemingsberg Tunnel, you are responsible for
managing and engaging your project team, consisting of various competencies such as assistant project managers, sub-project managers for design, sub-project managers for production, project engineers, site managers and specialists
leading, monitoring and controlling the project towards agreed time, cost and scope
ensuring that the project's deliverables meet the set requirements for the project
risk management as well as quality, environmental and occupational safety matters in the project
coordinating with adjacent projects and external stakeholders
creating good deals for the various procurements within the project
ensuring that the project works according to established procedures within Trafikverket and the program, and contributing to its development.
You are a key person in the program's organization and will be the client's representative for the project both internally and externally.
Tvärförbindelse Södertörn received a construction start decision in spring, so you will enter an exciting phase where the project is planning for procurement of the preparatory contract in fall 2026 with construction start in 2027. At the same time, the design for the rock tunnel contract will continue until summer 2027, during which we are working on preparing request documents, designing structures and adjusting and implementing certain technical solutions to reduce project costs.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, you have very good leadership skills where you build trust, deliver results and drive development that contributes to the organization achieving its goals and creating value. You collaborate and have good communication skills, which means you convey messages in a simple way, are attentive and adapt your communication to your audience. Furthermore, you find it easy to structure your work and enjoy using your analytical problem-solving skills. You also have the ability to see the bigger picture and make decisions that take into account both the project's and the program's overall goals.
We are looking for someone who has
university or college education of at least 180 credits with civil engineering focus in infrastructure development, or alternatively other relevant technical education combined with experience that is considered equivalent in total
several years of current and relevant experience as project manager for large infrastructure projects in the construction phase, or in other relevant management roles with tasks as described above
several years of current experience managing teams consisting of various competencies in large organizations
good knowledge of contract law (standard contracts ABK and AB) and substantial experience in handling and reviewing contract documents
good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office package
good knowledge of both Swedish and English in speech and writing
driver's license for a car.
It is meritorious if you have
several years of current and relevant experience with extensive rock tunnel work in large infrastructure projects
knowledge of Trafikverket's infrastructure regulations and AMA
good negotiation experience with suppliers, municipalities and other stakeholders
experience working with procurements of contracts within infrastructure projects.
Other Information
The work location for this position is the project office in Flemingsberg (Huddinge).
