Experienced Project Engineer in Railway – Gothenburg
We are seeking an experienced project engineer for a long-term consulting assignment in railway and infrastructure in the Gothenburg area. You will work closely with project managers and other project organization members and take on a broad role in project management, monitoring, and administration. The role is ideal for someone experienced in working independently on large construction or railway projects and comfortable with budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
About the Assignment
The assignment initially runs until December 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension. It is a full-time position with a planned start around October 8, 2026. Work is performed on-site in the Gothenburg area five days per week.
Responsibilities
Support project managers in planning, management, and monitoring.
Manage project finances, forecasts, and financial documentation.
Prepare, update, and monitor schedules.
Coordinate and track risks and action plans.
Develop project management documentation, reports, and presentations.
Assist with requirements management, procurement, and supplier follow-up.
Participate in and administer meetings and independently maintain minutes and notes.
Coordinate internal and external contacts.
Handle ongoing project administration and documentation.
Requirements for the Role
To be considered for this assignment, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Academic education of at least 120 credits in engineering, economics, construction, or equivalent knowledge.
At least five years of relevant experience within the past seven years as a project engineer, construction engineer, project coordinator, or project economist in railway/construction projects.
At least two consecutive years in the same relevant assignment.
At least five years of experience with risk management, scheduling, and budget management in projects.
At least three years of experience independently maintaining minutes and documenting meeting contents and decisions.
Very good Swedish in speech and writing.
Very good proficiency with Microsoft Office.
B-class driver's license.
Ability to work on-site in the Gothenburg area five days per week.
Ability to demonstrate experience through relevant reference assignments and reference persons.
Relevant safety certifications for work in road and rail areas, including APV level 2.2 and BASÄVISTA (can be completed after start).
Merits

Work Location and Arrangement
