About the role The client company develops advanced technology solutions where embedded software, electronics, and communication need to work securely together. You'll get a senior role in a team responsible for shared software components with significant impact on multiple parts of the systems. Your focus will be to build security early in the development chain and translate identified threats and vulnerabilities into well-thought-out technical protections. Together with software and system architects, you'll develop solutions that combine functionality, robustness, and compliance with relevant security requirements. The work involves development in C and C++, analysis of the system's attack surface, and troubleshooting at the intersection of hardware and software. You'll also contribute to secure development patterns, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team. Responsibilities Develop and implement security features in embedded systems, primarily in C and C++. Analyze software components and system interfaces to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors. Debug complex problems at both hardware and software levels. Collaborate with software and system architects on security requirements, design choices, and technical solutions. Assess how hardware-near requirements, dependencies, and communication flows affect the system's security profile. Ensure traceability and technical documentation linked to laws, regulations, and security standards. Contribute to code reviews, secure development principles, and knowledge sharing in the team. We're looking for you who Have a degree in computer science, electronics, or a related field. Have at least four years of experience in professional software development, with a clear focus on C and C++. Have experience with embedded systems and understand the interaction between software and hardware. Have strong knowledge of Linux and development of software applications for Linux-based systems. Have experience identifying vulnerabilities and troubleshooting at both hardware and software levels. Understand how software-driven hardware requirements and technical dependencies affect a system's security. Communicate fluently in Swedish and English and can document technical solutions in both languages. It is a merit if you have Experience with cybersecurity standards or regulations for embedded and safety-critical systems. Knowledge of real-time operating systems, RTOS. Experience with Git, DevOps, or DevSecOps in a secure development environment. Knowledge of radio communication and the security challenges that arise in connected systems.
