Job Description Do you want to take a leading role in transforming the construction and real estate sector, in assignments where your combined experience and specialized expertise truly make a difference? Then you might be the experienced environmental coordinator we are now seeking for AFRY in Stockholm! We are strengthening our team within Sustainable Building East with an experienced environmental coordinator. The construction and real estate sector accounts for a significant portion of society's climate impact and resource consumption, and we help our customers navigate everything from environmental certification, climate calculations, climate adaptation, and reuse. Our assignments span a broad client base that builds and manages everything from offices and residential buildings to hospitals and other complex societal properties. In this role, you will become a key person in our most advanced assignments. You lead environmental certification processes, are a natural advisor to demanding clients, and serve as a sounding board and mentor for our junior consultants. You will also have excellent opportunities to shape how we work as a team going forward, particularly within reuse and climate coordination – two areas where customer demand is growing rapidly. In the role, you will have the opportunity to drive projects while leading others within the project. Work tasks vary and consist primarily of: Advising clients on which environmental requirements are relevant for the specific project. Developing environmental plans. Driving environmental matters through design and production. Conducting environmental reviews. Guiding less experienced colleagues. Placement location and the starting point for the role is our office in Solna, from where we currently work 3 days per week. We are looking for you with solid background in environmental coordination, who thrives in a role as both specialist and advisor, and who enjoys sharing your knowledge with colleagues and clients. We believe you are confident in your professional role and experienced in independently driving parallel and complex assignments, while being responsive in interactions with clients and colleagues and creating collaborations. You are unpretentious, curious, and have a genuine commitment to sustainability issues. You see value in contributing to developing both assignments and business as well as employees. Requirements for success in the role: At least 10 years of experience with qualified work in environmental coordination and sustainability issues in the construction and real estate industry. If you have an otherwise strong profile, we would like to see your application even with approximately 7 years of experience. Certified Environmental Building Coordinator, with documented experience working in the role Certification in and practical experience of additional environmental certification systems, for example BREEAM, BREEAM In-Use, Svanen, NollCO2, or LEED Experience with complex buildings, such as hospitals or other critical societal properties Academic education, such as university or civil engineering degree Very good knowledge of English and Swedish, spoken and written Class B driver's license Meritorious: Experience in climate coordination and climate calculations (LCA) Experience in reuse and circular construction Certification in multiple of the above-mentioned environmental certification systems Experience in leading, supporting, or mentoring less experienced employees in their development Additional Information Welcome to submit your application; the final application deadline is 2026-10-05.
