We are now seeking a land and development engineer who wants to strengthen our work in infrastructure development. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute both strategically and long-term, while working closely with operations and participating in concrete projects. The position is placed in the Planning and Development unit within the Infrastructure Development Administration. The unit consists of approximately 14 employees, of which five work as land and development engineers. Our offices are located in Nödinge, only 17 minutes from Gothenburg Central Station. Job responsibilities As a land and development engineer, you will work with a wide range of issues related to the municipality's land holdings, development matters, and project implementation. You have a central role in working with developers and the business community, where you are responsible for dialogue, negotiations, and drafting agreements in various stages of the development process. The work involves negotiating with landowners and building contractors, preparing draft agreements, preparing decision-making documents, and presenting matters in committee. You have many contact points and work closely with colleagues within the municipality, external stakeholders, and residents. In addition to development matters, you will also work with other issues related to the municipality's land holdings, such as leases, usufruct rights, and other land-related matters. The role also includes participating in work on the municipality's strategic land supply and future acquisitions. The role is varied and includes both strategic and operational tasks within the land and development area. You actively contribute to driving processes forward, from early planning to implementation. You are also expected to take a leading role in project management and ensure efficient contract processes with short lead times. Qualifications We are looking for someone with higher education in surveying, urban planning, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. To succeed in this role, we see that you have a few years of experience working with land issues and development projects. Good knowledge of project management is an asset for successfully driving the work forward. Knowledge of property law and property formation is a requirement. Practical experience or in-depth knowledge of development economics is considered very valuable for this role. It is also an advantage if you have an understanding of working in a politically governed organization. It is an asset if you have worked within the infrastructure development process and participated in developing the infrastructure development process. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The role requires that you are collaborative, organized, and confident in your assignment. You have good integrity, professional demeanor, and a well-developed service mindset. You work strategically, solve problems in a thoughtful manner, and persistently drive your work toward set goals. B-class driver's license is required.
