About the Role In the building automation designer role, you'll design, plan, and document intelligent control and automation systems in buildings, and collaborate with other engineers and customers to create energy-efficient, secure, and well-functioning properties. Example Work Tasks Projecting and planning in various projects Develop technical solutions for building automation – for example, systems for ventilation, heating, cooling, lighting, and control systems. Create control diagrams and technical documentation. Plan automation in projects from early stages through implementation. Participate in planning meetings and discuss solutions with colleagues, customers, and other technical disciplines. Work often in teams but also independently with individual responsibility in projects. Create technical specifications and functional descriptions for control and regulation equipment. Conducts investigations and calculations to select the right technical solutions. Involved in implementation and follow-up in actual buildings to ensure systems function as intended. Requirements Profile Post-secondary technical education, for example in automation, control and regulation technology, HVAC, or similar Alternatively, professional experience as an HVAC consultant, refrigeration technician, fire safety consultant, piping consultant, or in construction At least 3–4 years of experience in building automation, preferably from the consulting side Programming knowledge of PLC Swedish fluency in speech and writing About You To thrive in this role, we see that you are curious and genuinely driven.
