On behalf of our client, Sibe Construction is seeking an experienced estimator in earthwork and civil engineering for a well-established and family-oriented civil engineering company just south of Göteborg.
About the Role
This is a broad and production-focused role where you will have a central and important function in the company. You will independently drive the bid process from start to finish and work closely with production, management, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing bids and estimates for earthwork and civil engineering projects
- Procurement and purchasing of subcontractors and suppliers
- Organization and administration of bid and quote workflows
- Contract management and agreement matters
- Participation in project planning and follow-up
- Support to production on financial and technical matters
Projects vary from smaller contracts to larger and more complex civil engineering projects, creating a varied and developing workday.
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience in estimating work within earthwork and civil engineering
- Good knowledge of contract and procurement law as well as AMA, MER, and RA Anläggning
- Experience from contract production and understanding of on-site project operations
- Comfortable working in estimation software, such as BidCon
- Proficient with the Office suite with particularly strong Excel skills, as much of the estimation work and follow-up happens there
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you also have experience in accounting, contract management, and scheduling, as well as technical training in construction, earthwork, or civil engineering.
