Welcome to us The Open Preschool in Östberga is seeking an engaged temporary preschool teacher who wants to be part of our important mission. This temporary position is a part-time role at 50%, with working hours primarily scheduled in the mornings. Östberga Open Preschool is located in Östberga Culture House and actively collaborates with other activities in the building. Open preschools are open pedagogical activities and meeting places for families with young children aged 0-6 years. Two staff members work at each open preschool. The open preschool is an important contact point between the city and its residents and a platform for preventive, health-promoting, and educational activities for children and parents. The open preschool's mission also includes collaboration with parental advisors, child health clinics, libraries, social services, and other actors that can benefit children and parents. We offer Wellness allowance Your role Working as a preschool teacher at an open preschool in Enskede-Årsta-Vantör means, among other things, building good and trusting relationships with visiting parents/other important adults and children. The work also involves conducting and developing engaging and inspiring pedagogical activities together with your colleague. Activities are adapted to the needs and wishes of the area where the open preschool is located and to the tasks outlined in the operational plan. As a preschool teacher, you contribute to a pedagogical, positive, and developmental environment where children and parents feel seen and welcomed. The work is based on values where everyone is welcome regardless of gender, gender identity, origin, culture, and religion, with a focus on equality, children's rights, and LGBTQIA+. Your competence and experience We're looking for you who are trained as a preschool teacher. It is advantageous if you have further education in working with families and parents/guardians, such as ABC 0-2. You are passionate about pedagogical environments and have knowledge and ideas about how you, together with your colleagues, will realize the open preschool's mission and values. Your collaboration skills are excellent and you are accommodating in your interactions with children, guardians, and colleagues. Most visiting children are aged 0-2 years, and we're looking for someone with extensive experience working with children and their parents/guardians. Excellent computer skills, digital competence, and good knowledge of Swedish language in speech and writing are required. You also have strong abilities to communicate both verbally and in writing. It is also advantageous if you have good knowledge of norm-critical work and gender equality integration. In your professional role, you are engaged, creative, professional, and take initiative. You are responsible and well-organized, with strong ability to plan and prioritize your work efficiently. You see developing the open preschool's activities as a positive challenge. You enjoy inspiring and motivating others and sharing your experiences and knowledge. As a person, you are social and have a genuine interest in people and enjoy networking and making new contacts. Professional conduct is of great importance, and you are a reliable, attentive person whom parents/guardians and children can trust. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
