Welcome to Home Care Services in Skarpnäck We are the municipal home care option in the district and provide needs-assessed services in accordance with the Social Services Act. We provide support to the elderly and people with disabilities – with a focus on the individual's needs, continuity and quality. Our home care services are currently led by three unit managers who, together with the district manager, form an active and closely collaborating management team. Our common approach is characterized by professionalism, clarity and participation in the assignment for both management and our employees, who are geographically divided into Bagarmossen, Hammarbyhöjden and Skarpnäck. As a unit manager, you work closely together with other managers in the district's management team for operations within elderly care and report to the district manager. The management team also works closely with the department's and administration's quality and support functions such as HR and finance. The department's management team is LGBTQI-certified. Your Role You lead one of three geographical areas and have direct personnel responsibility for approximately 30 employees with the support of planners and close collaboration with manager colleagues as well as support functions within both the area, the department and the administration. Your leadership is coaching and supportive in order to further develop an evolving operation. You drive the business's quality development and prioritize based on the current situation and needs. The role requires good knowledge of the work performed, complicated cases, the group's composition and needs. Your authority is regulated in the delegation order. In your role you are responsible for the business's finances. The financial conditions require continued work to achieve balance. You also prepare follow-ups and reports such as operational plans, quarterly reports, and operational narratives. You are ultimately responsible for the business's management system for systematic quality work and that this is kept current – an exciting project where we will begin digitalization in the fall and further make the management system accessible to employees. You communicate the business's goals and mission to employees and work together with them to fulfill these. The role involves contacts with collaboration partners both internally within the City of Stockholm and externally with, for example, Region Stockholm. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you who have academic education in a relevant field, for example a degree as a social worker or other education deemed equivalent previous experience in service delivery operations documented management experience with budget, personnel and operational responsibility within elderly care and/or other social services good knowledge of relevant legislation and policy documents, for example the Social Services Act, the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities good digital maturity and system experience good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have completed qualified management or leadership training experience from a politically governed operation. We are looking for a confident and clear leader who succeeds in creating engagement, participation and provides your employees with good conditions to achieve results. As a unit manager, you drive quality and development work forward. You have a helicopter perspective and can adapt your approach when goals and conditions change.
