About the Position The electrical grid must function every day, year-round. Behind that are people who build, develop, and troubleshoot when issues arise. Ulricehamns Energi Elnät is now seeking an experienced distribution electrician for electrical grid operations in Ulricehamn. Here you will use your professional expertise in a local company where safety, collaboration, and responsibility are important parts of the work. Duties As a distribution electrician, you work with construction, connections, troubleshooting, and repairs in the electrical distribution network within voltage levels of 0.4 to 40 kV. Tasks include both planned work and emergency repair during operational disruptions. Your duties include, among other things: • building new parts of the electrical grid and performing reconstruction and connections • laying and connecting cables as well as installing cable cabinets and substations • troubleshooting and fixing faults in low-voltage and high-voltage networks • installing, replacing, and inspecting electricity meters and associated equipment • performing new installations, maintenance, and repairs in street lighting networks • documenting and reporting completed work You carry out assignments independently or with colleagues depending on the scope of work. Contact with customers, contractors, and other parts of the business occurs regularly. Work is primarily scheduled during daytime hours. On-call duty is included in the position. Qualifications and Personal Qualities We are looking for someone with experience as a distribution electrician who feels confident working in the field. You can plan and execute your assignments and have a good understanding of the quality and safety requirements in electrical distribution. Requirements • relevant electrical technical education • experience in electrical distribution or equivalent experience • experience working with low and high voltage • experience working in switchgear • experience with cable laying • experience working with substations • Class B driving license • good Swedish language skills, spoken and written • good computer skills Meritorious • electrical authority certification • industry-specific training, for example ESA, Hot Work, or Road Work • Class BE or C driving license Equivalent experience could include a longer background in industrial electrical work where you have worked practically with construction and installation in technical environments similar to electrical distribution. You collaborate well with others and communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, and external contacts.
