Job Description
We are looking for an experienced automation engineer to join our team! We are responsible for developing and deploying automation solutions for our industrial customers and now need to strengthen our team with a confident and knowledgeable colleague.
At AFRY, you will have varied tasks within industrial automation. In this role, you will work with engineering and programming of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robot applications. You will also participate in deployment and troubleshooting of these systems, both on-site at customer locations and in project form from the office.
A typical work week can include everything from bid preparation and technical solution development to teamwork on projects or urgent troubleshooting at customer sites. In some cases, you may also be assigned to a customer to strengthen their organization.
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute your experience while being part of an engaged and helpful team. You will play an important role in creating stability and technical breadth in a section with a young average age. Over time, there is an opportunity to develop toward specialist roles or become a broad technical resource and mentor for colleagues and customers – depending on your interests.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who collaborates easily with colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors, and who communicates clearly and simply with everyone who needs information – or actively seeks it out when needed. You are stress-resistant and stay calm even in pressured situations, while thinking logically and structurally. Additionally, you are ambitious and are happy to take a leading role in programming work without needing to be prompted – you drive the work forward with engagement and a sense of responsibility.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in programming PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Experience with troubleshooting and deployment in industrial environments
Merits
Experience with robot programming
Knowledge of one or more of the following systems: ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Intouch, Citect, Ignition
English, spoken and written
