We're looking for an experienced personal assistant for our son. He's an energetic young man with extensive, non-verbal autism and a significant need for security, structure, and an adult who genuinely wants to understand him.
He has a heart of gold. He's curious, full of joy, and bursting with energy. At the same time, his autism presents major challenges in daily life. When demands become too high or communication falls short, situations with strong emotional expressions and challenging behaviors can arise.
That's why we're looking for someone who can stay calm, keep their composure, and try to understand what's behind it all. Someone who can redirect, motivate, create security, and find new ways forward when needed.
Your Assignment
As a personal assistant, you'll follow our son through his daily life – at home and in different environments. Your most important task is to create security, predictability, and opportunities for development.
The work includes, among other things:
supporting communication and interaction
creating routines and structure
participating in activities, play, and movement
supporting recovery
preventing and managing challenging situations through a calm and respectful approach
Above all, the work is about relationships – getting to know our son, understanding his signals, and becoming a trusted person in his daily life.
Who Are You?
This is an assignment that requires experience. You need to have previously worked with individuals with autism or other comprehensive disabilities and have a secure foundation in your approach.
We're looking for someone who:
has experience with autism or other comprehensive disabilities
has experience with a calm, low-affective approach
can stay calm in difficult situations
sees behaviors as communication and wants to find causes and solutions
is secure, stable, patient, and persistent
is creative and can find new ways to create interaction
has good physical health and enjoys being active
speaks Swedish fluently
Desirable qualifications include experience with AAC/TAKK and working with externalizing behaviors.

Working Hours and Position Level
The position starts as on-call as needed with the possibility of regular shifts over time.
Initially, working hours are mainly:
holidays and weekends during daytime
certain weekday evenings, distributed across different days of the week
You'll work closely with us as parents in a warm and supportive environment.

WAGE
As an assistant at Vivida, you receive a fixed hourly wage + vacation compensation and any overtime compensation. A collective agreement is in place.
