Do you want to work with species protection issues in some of Sweden's most extensive development and construction projects? We are seeking an experienced species protection expert who wants to contribute their expertise to assignments related to infrastructure, energy, mining, and infrastructure development in northern Sweden.
In this role, you will be responsible for inventories, analysis, and advisory services within species protection, with a particular focus on species groups such as birds, amphibians, and bats. You will work throughout the entire process – from planning and conducting field surveys to analysis, report writing, and preparation of documentation for permitting and consultation processes. The work also includes dialogue with authorities, clients, and other stakeholders as well as support to project managers and technical specialists in complex project environments.
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education or university education in fields such as biology, ecology, or nature conservation, and at least three years of experience working with species protection issues. You have solid knowledge of Swedish environmental legislation and experience conducting inventories, assessments, and investigations related to species protection. Experience from consulting work or work on major development projects is a merit.
As a person, you are self-directed, organized, and communicative. You enjoy combining fieldwork with analytical work and have the ability to translate ecological expertise into practical and well-founded recommendations.
