Construction Engineer – Infrastructure
About the Position
Our client is a smaller, growing construction company with ambitions to continue developing and capturing new market share. We are now seeking a construction engineer who wants to be part of the company's continued growth journey and take on an important role in both projects and company development.
As a construction engineer, you will work closely with the CEO and project organization, becoming a vital connecting link between budgeting, design, procurement, finance, and production. You will have a broad and varied role with significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence work methods, processes, and project development.
The company primarily works with infrastructure construction projects, and you will be involved in projects from the early budgeting and bidding stages through implementation and financial follow-up.
You will work with:
Budgeting and bid preparation
Design and production planning
Financial monitoring and forecasting
Procurement and monitoring of subcontractors and suppliers
Quantity calculations and bills of quantities
Production and project tracking
Contract and agreement matters
Coordination between various project stakeholders
Continuous development of the company's work methods and processes
We would appreciate experience with LOU (Lagen om offentlig upphandling) and working with public procurement, bids, and tender documents. Experience reading, interpreting, and working with bills of quantities is also a plus.
About You
We are looking for someone with a construction or infrastructure engineering background and several years of experience in a similar role within infrastructure, construction, or related work.
You preferably have experience with:
Budgeting and bid preparation in infrastructure
Finance, forecasting, and financial monitoring
Design and production planning
Procurement and supplier/subcontractor relations
Bills of quantities and quantity calculations
LOU and public procurement
Project and business systems
Office software, especially Excel
It is important that you are comfortable taking responsibility and can see the bigger picture in a project. You don't need to know everything from day one – what matters more is that you have a solid foundation, drive, and a willingness to continue developing with the company.
