The Assignment
Assignments may be new construction or renovation projects, residential or commercial properties, primarily in the Stockholm/Mälardalen region. The project manager role involves independently leading and taking responsibility for the current construction project, from the early conceptual phase through handover to facility management for new construction or to the client after completing a renovation project.
The project manager role thus carries overall responsibility for each construction project, where the project manager shall:
- lead the project stakeholders
- negotiate land purchases
- drive detailed planning processes
- procure consultants and contractors
- be responsible for design documentation
- oversee contractor execution
- establish and reconcile production budgets
- monitor and report on the project
The project manager has clear result responsibility and serves as the client and building owner's representative at construction meetings, design meetings, development meetings, meetings with authorities, etc.
Qualifications
We are looking for a business-minded, results-driven, and market-oriented project manager with several years of professional experience in the real estate industry. We see an advantage if you have an academic degree, preferably with a focus on construction or equivalent.
You have experience from the contracting side where you have worked with self-developed projects, and you understand the entire chain in both new construction and renovation projects, from idea and land purchase through handover. It is an advantage if you have experience with purchasing and sales processes regarding land and properties.
The role requires strong knowledge of planning, design, and project management with management and project controls, cost tracking, budgeting and forecasting, and production. Knowledge of construction law is highly valued.
We believe you are well-established in the industry with an extensive professional network, customer and market-oriented with strong drive. Furthermore, you are expected to be a true team player, proactive with the ability to professionally execute and complete initiated projects. Being structured, responsible, analytical, and quick to prioritize are qualities we believe are important for success in this position.
