The Assignment
As a construction manager, you will be involved in the project's various phases from planning, design, execution, and through handover to the project owner. The construction manager serves as the contact person with contractors and represents the project owner during the construction phase. This means the construction manager's role is to represent the project owner by supporting, monitoring, and reporting the contractor's progress to the project manager and/or project owner regarding: schedules, costs, quality, safety, work environment, and environmental matters.
You will manage all phases of the production stage, develop tender documents, procure contractors, and are responsible for: construction meetings, quantity adjustment meetings, financial meetings (change order management) and coordination meetings.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following experience:
Good knowledge of ground and infrastructure processes and documented experience in planning & coordination, design management, cost tracking, forecasting, KMA, procurement, and production.
You should have worked as a construction manager/work supervisor/site manager within ground and infrastructure for at least 5 years, preferably longer.
Experience from ground and infrastructure projects within industrial projects is desirable (track work, excavation/rock excavation, cast-in-place concrete, stormwater, sewerage, lighting).
A major plus if you have experience with concrete, ideally concrete class 1, preferably class 2.
You must have qualifications as a work environment coordinator, BAS-P, and BAS-U.
You have strong knowledge of contract and consulting law, AB04/ABT06, as well as AMA and MER infrastructure standards.
You have a civil or higher engineering degree or other building technical education, or have acquired equivalent knowledge through extensive work experience.
