The Analysis Department monitors, analyzes, and evaluates developments in healthcare, dental care, and social services. A cornerstone of the National Board's analytical work is gathering information through survey questionnaires, where the agency's survey support group provides methodological and expert support for the agency's data collection and analyses. We actively work to reduce respondents' reporting burden, which means we also help identify alternative data sources when available. We now need to strengthen our statistical expertise and are therefore expanding our team. We are looking for you to: - act as an internal consultant on matters concerning survey processing, statistics, and statistical methodology - identify and define survey variables and sampling frames - participate in questionnaire design from a statistical perspective - process and analyze survey data through programming in SAS - take responsibility for statistical aspects in planning, conducting, analysis, and reporting of surveys - communicate, present, and report statistical results in the form of tables and diagrams, and document methodology and result quality in writing - contribute to the unit's continuous development work. We are looking for you to have: - an academic degree in statistics, or other education that the National Board of Health and Welfare finds relevant for the position - practical work experience in planning and conducting survey studies - excellent ability to present results in Swedish - good programming experience with statistical software - knowledge of survey methodology. About you: The work tasks require you to be well-organized. You should also be a self-starter with the ability to solve problems. To be able to contribute to development work, it is a prerequisite that you are collaborative. At times, the work pace can be high, which is why it is important to be able to prioritize independently and adapt your work to the prevailing conditions. During recruitment, great weight will be placed on your personal qualities. It is a merit if you have: - strong and current knowledge of SAS programming - experience understanding and using SAS macros - experience working in the public sector, for example in state, municipal, or regional government - a doctorate in a relevant subject area - experience with GDPR and confidentiality issues - experience with regression analysis of survey data. Good to know: This is a permanent full-time position located in Stockholm. The position is in the Analysis Department, Unit for Surveys and Quantitative Analysis (EKA). The job title is Statistician. You will work from the office at Västerbroplan in Stockholm. In spring 2027, the agency will move to newly renovated premises at Solna Strand.
