Health and Care is currently undergoing a transformation journey where we will expand the number of unit managers to reduce the number of employees per manager. Therefore, we are now seeking three unit managers for home care services, two unit managers for special housing, and one HSL manager who wants to lead the operations through this change and contribute to the development of Tierp municipality.

DUTIES
As a unit manager for special housing and home care services in health and care, you will receive a clear and meaningful assignment. You will lead, develop, and ensure quality in operations so that users receive safe, professional, and person-centered support. You are responsible for translating the operation's goals into practical action and creating good conditions for both employees and operational development.
Your role includes leading and developing operations, driving daily work forward, following up on results, and ensuring that the operation maintains high quality and complies with applicable legislation, guidelines, and goals. You have personnel, budget, and work environment responsibilities, where you work systematically with planning, scheduling, recruitment, competence development, and follow-up. You create a sustainable work environment where employees thrive and grow.
The duties also include ensuring good quality for users, where you follow up on services, work with deviations, and develop working methods to ensure safety, participation, and continuity.
On behalf of the area manager, you also drive strategic goals together with your fellow unit managers within health and care. The assignment thus involves extensive collaboration internally and externally.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree from a social care program, social work program, or other higher education or training combined with management experience that we consider equivalent and relevant for the assignment. The position requires several years of work experience in health and care operations. Experience from management or leadership work in the field is a merit. You should be well familiar with applicable legislation that governs the operation. For unit manager positions overseeing licensed personnel, we also welcome applicants with education in licensed professions.
As a leader, you are confident, communicative, and able to handle change processes. You are characterized by your driving and courageous approach, and your social competence and enthusiasm are contagious. You have good collaboration skills and see the bigger picture. If you also have a sense of humor, you will thrive with us. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and social competence.
Tierp municipality is located in the Finnish administrative area. If in addition to our other competency requirements you also speak Finnish, that could be an asset.
