Care and social services are currently undergoing a transformation where we will expand the number of unit managers to reduce the number of employees per manager. We will have two new overarching units where employees work across the entire Care and Social Services operation. The Shared Support unit, which is organized under the Authority and Support in Ordinary Housing area, and the Administrative Support unit, which is organized within Support Services. Now we are looking for unit managers who want to lead these new operations to support a Care and Social Services at the forefront.
Within Shared Support, we have brought together Care and Social Services' joint work with investigations (SAS, MAS and MAR, etc.), preventive work (family support, vision and hearing instruction) and certain government services (transportation services, housing adaptation, etc.).
Within Administrative Support, we have brought together the service providers' staffing administrators (scheduling, handling of short-term absences, etc.), method support specialists, and development and project managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a unit manager for Shared Support and Administrative Support, Care and Social Services, you will have a clear and meaningful assignment. You will lead, develop and ensure quality in the operation so that service users receive safe, professional and person-centered support. You are responsible for translating the operation's goals into practical action and creating good conditions for both employees and the operation's development.
The role includes leading and developing the operation, where you drive the daily work forward, follow up on results and ensure that the operation maintains high quality and complies with applicable legislation, guidelines and goals. You have personnel, budget and work environment responsibility, where you work systematically with planning, scheduling, recruitment, competence development and follow-up. You create a sustainable work environment where employees thrive and grow.
The job tasks also include strategically ensuring good quality for service users, where you follow up on interventions, work with deviations and develop working methods to ensure safety, participation and continuity.
On behalf of the area manager, you also drive the strategic goals together with your fellow unit managers within care and social services. The assignment thus involves considerable cooperation internally and externally.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree from a social care program, social work program or other university education or education combined with management experience that we consider equivalent and relevant for the assignment. You must have a few years of work experience working within care and social services. Experience from management or leadership work in the field is an asset. You should be well acquainted with applicable legislation that governs the operation.
As a leader, you are confident, communicative and can manage change processes. You are characterized by your driven and courageous approach, your social competence and enthusiasm are contagious. You have good collaboration skills and see the bigger picture. If you also have a sense of humor, you will thrive with us. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and social competence.
Tierp Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area. If you, in addition to our other competency requirements, also speak Finnish, it may be an asset.
