Job Responsibilities
You will be an active part of the business area's management group, where you are expected to contribute to strategic development work at the operational level. In the management group, you collaborate with other unit managers to develop shared processes, work long-term on quality, and ensure that we achieve our set goals. It is important that you contribute with a holistic perspective and translate political decisions and governing documents into concrete, sustainable operational changes.
In your daily work, you are responsible for planning, monitoring, and developing operations based on both the municipality's goals and current legal requirements and society's changed needs. You work systematically with management systems, systematic improvement efforts, and adaptation to new legislation. You ensure a good work environment for employees, good service to residents, and that operations are conducted with high legal certainty and quality.
The role of unit manager involves both strategic and operational leadership where you are present in operations, available to employees, and at the same time driving the overall change and improvement work.
Requirements for the Position
Sociology degree or other education that the employer considers equivalent
Experience working as a manager
Good knowledge of relevant legislation
Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
Meritorious for the Position
Experience with change management/development work
Experience in social work within the field
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability

About the Workplace
The Adult Authority Unit consists of an adult team, a violence team, and an administrative team. Within the Adult Authority Unit, eight social workers and one senior social worker work, all with high competence and great commitment to social work. Within the administrative team, various administrative tasks are performed in support of the units that work with authority functions; in the team work four social administrators and one coordinator.
Within the violence team, we work with adults who are or have been exposed to violence in a close relationship, including honor-related violence and oppression.
Within the adult team, we work with adults with long-term housing problems and harmful use and addiction. Within the business area, we have ongoing implementation work with Signs of Safety. In Karlshamns Municipality, we work closely with our residents and value collaboration across professional and organizational boundaries.
