About the Position

The Adult Services Section in Huddinge Municipality is seeking a Unit Manager for the Unit for Dropouts, Addiction, and Intimate Partner Violence.
As a Unit Manager, you are responsible for a unit with 18 employees organized into three teams. The teams are operationally led by two group leaders.
You have overall responsibility for operations, employees, work environment, and budget. The assignment involves leading and developing the operation based on the social service's goals, current legislation, and the municipality's strategic direction.
You have close collaboration with the Section Manager, other Unit Managers, and internal support functions. The role also involves cooperation with the region, the Police Authority, the Correctional Service, civil society, and other authorities.
The assignment includes:
leading, developing, and monitoring the operation against set goals
ensuring quality, legal certainty, and operational development
creating conditions for a sustainable work life and good employee relations
working strategically with skills supply and quality work
responsibility for budget, forecasts, and financial monitoring
contributing to the development of the section's overall assignment
participating in the municipality's on-call duty for unit managers according to current organization.
As a Unit Manager, you are also part of the municipality's POSOM organization (Psychosocial Care in Accidents and Disasters). The assignment involves participating in the municipality's crisis organization when needed and contributing to coordination and support measures for affected individuals and relatives in serious incidents.
Qualification Requirements
We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has other university education that the employer deems equivalent.
You have:
multi-year experience working within the social service's areas of operation
experience with authority exercise in the adult sector
good knowledge of social service legislation and lawful case handling
experience with budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility
very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
We consider it particularly meritorious if you have experience working in addiction care, intimate partner violence, with criminal dropouts, or other related areas.
For this position, we place great emphasis on your having previous experience working as a Unit Manager within the current area of operation or related social service activities.
You are a confident and clear leader who creates engagement, development, and participation. You have the ability to combine a strategic perspective with close and accessible leadership. You are organized, action-oriented, and thrive in an operation where both development work and operational matters are part of daily work. You have the ability to work with your staff to utilize their experiences and abilities in the unit's development work.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You should be familiar with the Work Environment Act and how the systematic work environment process functions, and be able to cooperate with union representatives.
