Statens Institutionsstyrelse · plný úvazek
Hässleholm, Švédsko
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is a public agency responsible for individualized involuntary care for youth with complex psychosocial challenges and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also manages secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse issues throughout the country. Working at SiS means your professional life will be an exciting challenge. Regardless of where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you contribute to creating life-changing transformation. SiS Youth Home Hässleholm is a secure institution with two intake and needs assessment (MBB) units, four treatment units, and an open unit at our satellite facility Karlsvik in Höör, as well as TFCO, which is an aftercare program. During 2027, an additional unit will open aimed at enabling a full-scale evidence-based care chain to ensure lasting change. We primarily receive school-age boys but also girls, with ongoing criminal activity and in some cases substance abuse issues. Job Description SiS is in the midst of comprehensive change with development occurring on multiple levels simultaneously. The agency is undergoing reform, which brings several new opportunities. We develop and adapt our work based on changing needs in both society and our own operations. We know that developing and engaged managers are a critical prerequisite for meeting today's and tomorrow's challenges. As a unit manager, you lead and plan the work within the aftercare team and TFCO and follow up on work to achieve established goals. You are responsible for ensuring that common working methods and practices are used and followed, and you support staff members. You ensure that team members have the competence for the care and treatment the team provides and have the conditions to perform their tasks in a good and safe work environment. As unit manager for the aftercare team and TFCO, you are responsible for working together with institutional management to develop and expand the team's mission—a critical factor going forward and something we place great value on. As a unit manager, you have operational, personnel, and budget responsibility for up to 10 team members. Clinical treatment work may also occur within the scope of the position. You participate in the institution's management group where you, together with the institutional director and your management colleagues, share responsibility for the entire operation. Management on-call duty is not currently required but may become relevant in the future. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - An academic degree of at least 180 credits with a focus on social sciences, healthcare, or behavioral science, or another relevant academic qualification. - Experience working in operations focused on care, treatment, and safety, such as social services, health and treatment, corrections, or other relevant work. - Current experience in a management role, either as a manager or coordinator of operations. - A driver's license category B (if the work is organized so that the unit manager is responsible for certain transportation, or at institutions with satellite facilities). Meritorious - Training in TFCO and clinical experience working with the model. - Experience in project management and development work that has produced results. - We welcome applications from psychologists and value psychological expertise in the management group. Since operations are often event-driven, you need to be comfortable making decisions, reprioritizing, and quickly shifting both pace and direction. You remain calm and professional even in demanding situations and have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances. At the same time, you must have a comprehensive perspective and be able to work in a structured and systematic manner to ensure the quality of care in line with the agency's goals, guidelines, values, and applicable laws. You know how to prioritize and find it easy to set goals and follow up on results. To be a good fit for the role, we see that you take responsibility for the whole, realize SiS's vision and goals, and create conditions for good results. You tackle challenges and act with courage when needed. You are a good role model and demonstrate trust in your colleagues' and staff members' competence, encouraging them to develop and take personal responsibility. You involve your staff in our development work and create conditions for active employee engagement and a learning organization. You promote good cooperation within SiS and with other partners. You are communicative and foster dialogue, participation, and engagement. At SiS, we value good leadership. This means that as a manager and leader, you take responsibility for the whole, act as a good role model, drive development, promote good cooperation, and communicate clearly.
