The Care and Support Administration's responsibility is to provide care, support, and assistance to elderly people and those with disabilities, as well as support to their families. The Position and Your Responsibilities As part of our continued development, we're expanding our management team and are now recruiting additional unit managers. Then this might be the right assignment for you. In this role, you lead a care and support facility and have overall responsibility for operations, staff, work environment, and finances. You create conditions for high-quality operations, a good work environment, and leadership characterized by presence, clarity, and trust. Your main responsibilities are to: lead, plan, follow up on, and develop operations based on established goals manage personnel, work environment, and budget ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the Social Services Act, Health and Medical Services Act, and other applicable laws and guidelines create conditions for sustainable employee engagement and a good work environment work systematically with quality, follow-up, and continuous improvement collaborate with colleagues and other functions to develop the operational area as a whole As a unit manager, you're part of the operational area's management team, where you collectively take responsibility for overall development. You lead your own unit while also contributing to developing elder care in Botkyrka together with your management colleagues. We believe in leadership close to operations. This means you're available to your staff, engage with daily work, and lead through dialogue, follow-up, and development. Together with your employees, you work to implement political goals and legislation in care that makes a difference for the people we serve. What We Offer At the care and support facility, nursing assistants, care assistants, and other employees with various experiences and competencies work together. Operations are conducted in close cooperation with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and various support functions. Together, you work to create a secure and cohesive care environment for residents. We're in a development phase where we're strengthening management and continuing to improve quality, methods, and collaboration. As a unit manager, you'll be an important part of that work. With us, you'll have the opportunity to develop in your management role through Botkyrka Municipality's leadership program, mentoring with management colleagues, and other training and tools for managers. What We're Looking For You have Swedish credentials in healthcare, a social work degree, or another academic degree that the employer deems relevant for the position. You have several years of experience as a manager in care and support and have held responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and budget. Other requirements: Experience with patient safety work. Experience with incident management according to the Social Services Act and Health and Medical Services Act. Experience with systematic quality work. Experience using digital operations and administrative systems. Experience planning, documenting, analyzing, and following up on operations. Experience preparing and communicating information clearly and correctly in Swedish, both orally and in writing. We consider it a merit if you have experience in: Elder care. You're collaborative and work with employees, management colleagues, and other professionals to achieve common goals. You share information, value different perspectives, and contribute to solutions that work for both your own unit and the operational area as a whole. With a results-oriented approach, you create clear direction, translate goals into concrete activities, and follow up on results. When something doesn't go according to plan, you take action and adapt work based on operational needs. You work systematically by planning, prioritizing, and organizing work so that responsibilities, timelines, and follow-up are clear, even when conditions change. With an analytical approach, you examine and compile information about quality, finances, work environment, and incidents, identify connections, and prepare the basis for well-founded decisions. Based on this information, you prioritize measures and drive improvements that develop operations.
