About the role and your responsibilities As a unit manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing a service that operates close to the service users and is characterized by complex needs and situations. You provide present and operationally-focused leadership where you actively support staff in daily work, contribute to structure, and create conditions for safe and professional support to the people the service is meant for. The role involves continuously working to develop approaches that strengthen service users' opportunities for independence and sustainable long-term housing. You are responsible for budget, staff, and operations as well as daily work and ensuring that the service maintains high quality. You drive development based on the service's needs and help create an open climate where both staff and working methods can develop. The role also involves close collaboration with a manager colleague, where you together take responsibility for the whole and ensure that the service continues to develop to meet the needs of the people it serves. The assignment also includes participating in a management on-call group for our residential services. Your manager colleague is responsible for Housing First with a focus on remaining in housing and taking over the lease. Our common goal is to help service users move toward their own permanent housing and strengthen abilities/connect to other support so that the service user becomes as independent as possible.
