The future of delivery is coordinated, and at the university hospital in Malmö we are now looking for a unit manager for Malmö Area. Coordinated delivery includes service assistants, cleaning staff, and building managers in transport. It is an exciting time at the hospital area in Malmö—we have moved into our new service building, we have implemented self-driving trucks, so-called AGVs, and opened the new care buildings. DUTIES As unit manager, you are responsible for the budget, personnel, and operations as well as the coordinated delivery in your unit. The unit consists of approximately 45 employees, and you have a team leader to assist you. You lead, allocate, and follow up on the unit's work, and in close collaboration with your team leader, you do what is best for the unit based on quality and efficiency. In addition to running the daily operations, you have a strong focus on developing work processes and creating consistent work methods that are well anchored within the unit. As a leader, an important task is to pave the way for employees to become active in this work. Of course, you are also expected to work proactively with a focus on continuous daily improvement. Other duties and responsibilities include: - plan staffing of personnel - personnel development and efficient resource allocation - customer responsibility, which includes customer dialogue and follow-up on delivery and customer satisfaction - financial follow-up You report to the area manager and, together with the other ten unit managers in Malmö Area, participate in the management group. Together with your colleagues, you are expected to actively participate and contribute to ongoing development work within the area. The direction of the management assignment will be adjusted based on the long-term needs of the operations. This means that responsibility for unit, team, and areas of responsibility may change over time within Malmö Area. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant experience from operational activities where you have led employees in an environment with rapid changes, flexible resource planning, and a strong focus on service, delivery, and collaboration. You have at least completed upper secondary education, preferably supplemented with post-secondary education or higher education. To be qualified for the position, you must also have previous experience in a management role with responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget. We are on a digital development journey and you must be comfortable with and have experience working in various operational systems. You have good knowledge of the Office suite and see the computer as a natural working tool in your daily work. Good Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement for the position. It is a merit if you have previous experience leading improvement and development work. If you also have management training, that is a plus. As a unit manager, you are responsible for delivery to the customer, and we therefore also see experience with customer dialogue with responsibility for follow-up on delivery and customer satisfaction as a merit.
