Do you want to lead operations in an area that is crucial for crime prevention and the rule of law's ability to function in a digitalized society? As a unit manager at PTS, you will build and develop a new unit responsible for digital evidence access – an area in rapid development, with significant national and international focus. We work with what everyone takes for granted. Being able to communicate. With us, you will ensure it works now and in the future. For everyone. The Digital Evidence Access Unit is new and is being created by dividing an existing unit into two due to growing operations. The unit is one of four units in the Cybersecurity Department. The unit's mission involves ensuring that law enforcement authorities get access to the information they need in their operations, developing and maintaining regulations in the field, and conducting oversight of service providers. These matters have a strong national and international focus, and the work involves close collaboration with both law enforcement authorities and contact with service providers. One of the unit's areas of responsibility involves new EU legal regulations that bring about operational development and new collaborations nationally and internationally. The department is under development as areas of responsibility expand. This means that active leadership is needed to develop both operations and units and the department's management group. Here you will have the opportunity to build further on operations that are well advanced both nationally and internationally. My name is Patrik Bystedt, and I will be your manager. I am the department head, and as a unit manager, you will sit in my department management group. I value creating good conditions for strong performance characterized by good cooperation, trust, and positive atmosphere. I believe in close dialogue and building trusting relationships to achieve ambitious goals with motivated managers and employees. About the role As a unit manager, you are responsible for the unit's operations, personnel, work environment, and finances. A central part of the assignment is to create a safe, developing, and sustainable work environment where employees are given good conditions to succeed in their assignments. You clarify goals, assignments, and tasks, and plan, develop, and follow up on operations. You lead qualified employees in developing regulations, conducting oversight, communicating, and collaborating internally and externally with service providers and other authorities. The role involves representing the operations in many different contexts, both internally and externally, nationally and internationally. You initiate and drive development work at both unit and department levels. As a unit manager, you are part of the department's management group and actively contribute to the development of the department's combined operations and to good cooperation across organizational boundaries. You work to create a functioning team based on participation, responsibility-taking, and engagement. About you We are looking for you – a confident and experienced leader with the ability to take responsibility for the whole picture and stand firm even when the going gets tough. With integrity, clarity, and a stable approach, you create trust and can represent the operations professionally in contact with various stakeholders, even in situations characterized by resistance or change. You are unpretentious and collaboration-oriented, while at the same time having the courage to make decisions, drive development, and maintain direction. With a structured and strategic work approach, you plan, prioritize, and follow up on operations and finances against set goals. We place great emphasis on your leadership and personal qualities. We are looking for you to have: Academic degree with relevant specialization for the position, such as law, technology, or economics Several years of current work experience as a leader with personnel and budget responsibility Current experience working with regulatory development and regulation enforcement in technically complex and changing environments Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English It is also advantageous if you have: Current experience working with regulatory development and compliance within digital evidence access, lawful interception, or similar regulations Experience with qualified work on EU legal matters, such as legislative processes within the EU or implementation of EU law in national legislation Experience with qualified work in the telecommunications industry relevant to the position Experience with qualified work at a public authority Experience leading qualified employees with different competencies in both operational and strategic matters Our offer We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life both at and outside work. When you feel good, we feel good. That's why we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work remotely. We also offer generous wellness allowances and two wellness hours every week. Additionally, you will receive favorable terms for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and sick leave. Here you will work in modern activity-based premises at Hälsingegatan 38. As a state authority, we offer a safe and stable work environment where you can feel secure. We create tomorrow's society and must be at the forefront. With us, you will grow with tasks all the time. Good to know This position is a permanent employment with an initial probation period of six months. Based in Stockholm with start as soon as possible by agreement. Your job title will be Unit Manager. So that we can make a fair and objective assessment of your competence, we ask you not to include a photo, personal number, or address in your CV. We have chosen not to request a personal letter as we instead use selection questions. This is because we want to focus on your experience and competence, which contributes to a more efficient and fair recruitment process. Tests will be part of the process.
