We are now seeking an engaged, experienced, and driven unit manager for our outpatient services in Lund. The Orthopedic Business Area at Skåne University Hospital (SUS) is one of Sweden's largest and encompasses 500 employees within outpatient and inpatient care in Lund and Malmö. At our clinics, physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, plaster technicians, occupational and physical therapists, social workers, and medical secretaries and administrators work together. Within the business area, there are three care wards with interprofessional teams consisting of registered nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, occupational and physical therapists, social workers, and medical secretaries. We provide broad and highly specialized orthopedic care while research, development, and education are integral parts of our operations. As a unit manager, you lead employees within the outpatient services and are responsible for operations, staff, work environment, and finances. You are part of the business area's management structure and work closely with the area manager, other managers, and our support functions in HR, finance, and business development. 1 position(s). DUTIES Your most important mission is to, together with your team members, continue building a well-functioning outpatient service with a welcoming approach that centers on our patients, a good work environment, high quality, and efficient working methods. You have direct personnel responsibility for registered nurses, nursing assistants, and plaster technicians at the clinic in Lund. As a manager leading employees, you guide your operations in the desired direction toward the business area's goals. Your team members' engagement is crucial for success in your role, and you value coaching, providing feedback, evaluating performance, promoting collaboration, and creating a positive work climate. Together with your employees, you develop the operations through efficient working methods with high quality and continuously follow up for learning and further development. You have employer and management responsibility encompassing employees, operations, and finances. You receive support from experienced fellow managers and the business area's support functions. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a university degree in healthcare and nursing or other relevant education that the employer considers equivalent. You have good IT skills and very good Swedish in both speech and writing. Management experience and experience leading change and development work are merits, as is experience with strategic nursing care work. As a leader, you are clear, present, and action-oriented. You build trust, establish good relationships, and get people to work together toward common goals.
