About the Role As a unit manager, you work as a first-line manager, which means you work closely with both employees and the operations manager. You have personnel and planning responsibility for an ambitious work team and are responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with residents, their networks, and commissioning parties. For us, it is important that as a unit manager you want to be active and close to operations. By being present in the daily operations, you can also ensure that the company's values, the pedagogical framework, and applicable legislation are followed in your unit. You will participate in the budget process and in developing and quality-assuring the operation in accordance with the pedagogical framework. An important task is to be a role model for your employees based on your commitment and create a good work climate in the group. You report to the operations manager and will be part of a local management team consisting of colleagues from supported housing and open care services. About Nytida Open Care Örebro/Karlstad Nytida's Open Care in Örebro/Karlstad currently consists of six youth counselors, four employees in Örebro and two in Karlstad. The operation also has an Operations Manager. In Örebro, open care works closely with our staffed supported housing facility Toringsgatan, where we offer open care services to placed individuals who need it. The unit manager for Toringsgatan is the closest colleague and close cooperation is required. We offer open care services in the form of structured open care and qualified contact person services. Our target group is children, youth, and young adults with psychosocial problems, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, substance abuse, criminality, or other socially destructive behavior, or individuals with protection needs. With responsibility, expertise, and participation, we create good solutions for individual users and commissioning parties. Our services and our organization should be characterized by care, commitment, and collaboration at all levels. Open care is responsible for our training apartments where young people can be placed. This means that certain work tasks for employees are connected to supported housing and activities of daily living, with the goal of helping young people become completely independent. Active Leadership To succeed as a manager and leader with us requires active leadership based on our values. We therefore train all managers through Lära's leadership program. A leadership style that creates motivation and engagement among our employees. You are enterprising and responsive to customer needs and have a natural respect for other people. Your Experience and Knowledge We are looking for someone with relevant higher education in healthcare and social services, such as a social worker or behavioral scientist, and experience from similar operations. You have at least two years of documented experience in management positions and excellent references for leadership. You have good knowledge of the target group. You have a clear leadership personality and enjoy helping people in your group grow and develop in their professional roles. As a person, you are independent, unpretentious, and collaborative. You have the will and ability to manage and follow up on operations based on the company's goals and framework. You are solution-oriented and see opportunities ahead of obstacles.
