About the role
As a unit manager, you work as a first-line manager, which means you work closely with both employees and the operations manager. You have personnel and planning responsibility for an ambitious work group and are responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with residents, their networks, and commissioners. For us, it is important that you as a unit manager want to be active and present in the operations. By being present in the operations, you can also ensure that the company's values, the pedagogical framework, and applicable legislation are followed in your activities. You will participate in the budget process and in the work of developing and quality assuring the operations in accordance with the pedagogical framework. An important task is to be a role model for your employees based on your commitment and create a good work climate in the group. You report to the operations manager and will be part of a local management group consisting of colleagues from supported housing and open care services. You will be a major part of the change work we conduct and you will be given great opportunities to influence our operations. This is because we constantly strive for positive development and good quality. You both want and have the ability to manage and follow up on operations based on the company's goals and financial frameworks.
About Nytida Open Care Örebro/Karlstad
Nytida's Open Care in Örebro/Karlstad currently consists of six youth counselors, four employees in Örebro and two in Karlstad. The operations also includes an Operations Manager. In Örebro, the open care works closely with our staffed supported housing where we offer open care services to those placed who need it. Unit Manager for Toringsgatan is the closest colleague and requires close collaboration.
We offer open care services in the form of structured open care and qualified contact person services. Our target group is children, young people, and young adults with psychosocial problems, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, substance abuse, criminality, or other socially destructive behavior, or individuals with protection needs. We shall, with responsibility, competence, and participation, create good solutions for individual users and commissioners. Our services and our organization shall be characterized by care, commitment, and collaboration at all levels.
The open care is responsible for our training apartments where young people can be placed. This means that certain work tasks for employees are connected to supported housing and activities of daily living, where the goal is for the young person to become completely independent.
Active Leadership
To succeed as a manager and leader with us requires active leadership that is based on our values. We therefore train all managers through Lära's leadership program. A leadership that creates motivation and engagement among our employees. You are resourceful and responsive to customer needs and have a natural respect for other people.
Your experience and knowledge
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education in care and health services, such as a social worker or behavioral scientist, and experience from similar operations. You have at least two years of documented experience in a management position and good references regarding leadership.
You have good knowledge of the target group. You have a clear leadership personality and like to help people in your group grow and develop in their professional roles. As a person, you are independent, unpretentious, and collaborative. You have the will and ability to manage and follow up on operations based on the company's goals and frameworks. You are solution-oriented and see possibilities before obstacles.
