We are looking for a unit manager who wants to take responsibility for developing and securing our IT infrastructure, from stable operations and clear service levels to long-term strategic decisions, quality, and continuous improvement. This is a role for someone who wants to combine leadership, technology, and operational value. As a unit manager, you will lead the work of creating a stable, secure, and sustainable digital environment for the municipality's operations. As a unit manager, you have responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget. You are responsible for both daily delivery and long-term development within areas such as networks, identity, platforms, data centers/cloud, backup, monitoring, and client platforms. You report to the IT Director and are part of the IT Department's management team. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: Lead and develop the unit with a focus on stability, security, and quality. Drive lifecycle management and long-term strategic decisions within the infrastructure area. Ensure clear service levels, documentation, and structured working methods. Work with monitoring, improvement, risk management, and continuity planning. Manage budget, resource planning, skills development, and vendor collaboration. Qualifications As a manager in Piteå Municipality, you are a role model for others and take a holistic perspective in your actions and decisions. In your leadership style, you are clear, communicative, and create engagement and participation based on a trust-based approach. We are looking for someone who is a confident and clear leader with experience in IT operations and IT infrastructure in a complex environment. You are experienced in managing delivery, change, and development, and you understand the value of structure, collaboration, and long-term thinking. Experience with ITSM/ITIL, SLA/OLA, hybrid environments, and vendor management is important for this role. You have excellent Swedish in both speech and writing. A driver's license is a requirement for the position.
